The Vern Riffe Center is a performing arts center located on the campus of Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, Ohio. It houses classroom spaces for the Fine, Digital and Performing Arts department of the University, as well as serving as a venue for the community by hosting several performances in its 1,139-seat theater, art exhibits in the Appelton Gallery and more each year. The Center is named for Mr. Vern Riffe, a local man who dedicated his life to bettering the local community.
